“Our favorite spot in Ubud was Café Wayan on Monkey Forest Road with its bakery in front, its little rooms out back that overlooks a rice-paddy, and its gracious hostess Wayan. Her menu ranges from shrimp with snow peas, cashews and spices, to traditional smoked duck, which must be ordered 24 hours in advance. Wayan takes pride in pleasing people who are long time missing their food also with her home-made breads and Death by Chocolate Cake."
